Job Title: Director, Kids of Grace

The Director of Kids of Grace is responsible to plan, organize, and implement the ministry of Kids of Grace. The Director of Kids of Grace reports to the Kids of Grace Committee. The Kids of Grace Committee (who is comprised of church members, parents, Director, Assistant Director, and Pastor)

operates under the Youth Christian Education Team and Discipleship Elders of GCPCPA. The Director operates the children’s weekday ministry in conformance with Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church of Princess Anne (GCPCPA) policies and procedures and in conformance with the Religious Exempt Child Care Center Regulations set forth by the Virginia Department of Social Services.

  • Hours: Approximately 30-35 office hours per week; School Hours 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., flexible when school is not in session
  • Schedule: School year including 5 weeks during summer (2 weeks prior to start of school, 2 weeks after school ends, 1 week flexible)/Summer camp optional additional pay
  • Salary Range: $26,500-$29,500
  • Professional Development: On-going participation in conferences, training, and workshops to include but not limited to: Creative Curriculum instruction and assessment, issues and trends in early childhood education, special education, and inclusive environment.


  • Education: Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or Christian Education (Bachelor’s or higher preferred)
  • Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in early childhood education and/or administration

  • Love for young children and families;
  • Strong communication and organizational skills;
  • Ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships with parents, children, KOG staff, church staff, and church members
  • Knowledge of Virginia Department of Social Services Religiously Exempt Child Day Center Requirements

Other: Certification in CPR and First Aid, Medication Administration Training Certification, Background Check, Health Screening
