Our Music Director, Lynne Cummings German, is responsible for directing or overseeing all church choirs and musical groups and selecting appropriate service music and choir anthems for worship, in consultation with the Pastor.  She is the principal musician for our worship services.  She is also responsible for the recruitment and development of church choir members, and for the care of instruments, robes, and music.

 Lynne earned her undergraduate degree in Music Education and her Master of Arts degree in Piano Performance at Bob Jones University in South Carolina.  Lynne brings over 25 years of professional music experience to the table, including teaching private lessons, teaching in elementary, high school, and collegiate music programs (James Madison University), accompanying, playing and singing with church worship teams, and conducting various church choirs and ensembles.  She enjoys sharing all styles of music with the congregation, including many original arrangements.

Lynne moved from the Shenandoah Valley to the Virginia Beach area with her husband and 3 of their 4 children in September 2004, and joined our church staff in January, 2005.
