Advent Alternative Gifts

Sponsored by the Mission and Service Team

Advent is the season of the year when we prepare ourselves to receive the undeserved gifts of grace, forgiveness and salvation through Jesus Christ.  As Christians living in a secular world, the allure of holiday sales and extravagant gift giving is difficult to ignore. Yet, as we strive individually and as a congregation to put Christ first in all we do, the Christmas sales seem less appealing.   Our focus becomes more on studying the word of God and learning more about Jesus.   This advent season consider giving your love ones gifts that goes beyond your home.  The Medical Benevolence Foundation is part of the Presbyterian Church, USA and supports medical work around the world.  The Emmanuel Hospital Association works primarily in Northern India and works with some of the poorest people in the world.  These gifts change the lives of people.  This is a way to share our many blessings with other people.

To purchase a gift just complete the bulletin insert indicating the gift amount you wish to give, and attach a check made out to Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church. Please attach the bulletin insert to your check and make a note on your check for either Medical Benevolence or Emmanuel Hospital.  In the foyer, you will find a display with Christmas cards from both Medical Benevolence and Emmanuel Hospital.  You may select a card and send it to the person you are honoring by this gift donation.

Indicate the gift you wish to donate by marking in the first column. Please write a check to Grace Covenant with a memo note for the organization.  Attach this page with the check and place in the offering plate.  Thank you for blessing others in the holy season.
